The Alexis Tsipras Institute for Peace, Justice and Sustainable Growth is organizing a one-day Conference on “The price crisis – challenges and prospects of the Greek economy” which will take place at the Municipal Theater of Piraeus, on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
International and European economic developments are at a very critical juncture, characterized increasingly by instability, geopolitical fragmentation and conflict. Despite leaving the debt crisis behind and returning to growth, Greece faces serious challenges related to confronting the price and climate crisis, the sustainability of its economic model as well as the effectiveness of its welfare state.
In this context, there is an urgent need for credible and progressive, reforms and sectoral policies that foster sustainable growth, social justice and resilience. Politicians and experts will be discussing economic developments in Greece and proposing policy solutions, while Alexis Tsipras will be delivering the closing speech with remarks on the Conference conclusions, looking to the future.
